For a few years now, General Motors has been adding a nearly constant stream of electrified vehicles to the lineups of all of its brands. One of the newest EV announcements is for Chevrolet in the form of a refreshed 2022 Bolt EV and an all-new 2022 Bolt EUV model.
While we are familiar with the Bolt EV, the Bolt EUV (Electric Utility Vehicle) is an SUV model. It will have a longer wheelbase than the smaller Bolt, which should translate to more interior space for both passengers and cargo.
Another big surprise for the Bolt EUV will be the availability of Super Cruise. This will be the first non-Cadillac model to offer this advanced hands-free driving technology. The Bolt EUV will help make this premium technology more accessible to the average driver.
As for the standard Bolt EV, it will not be completely redesigned for 2022, but is going to get some significant updates. These will include a new infotainment system, more supportive seats, and an improved dashboard. It will also come equipped with gear selector buttons and Adaptive Cruise Control technology.
Both the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV are expected to enter production in summer 2021 and will start arriving at dealerships shortly after that.
