Chevrolet Suburban Brings the Hollywood Walk of Fame to Texas

Back in 2019, the Chevrolet Suburban was the first vehicle to earn a star on the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame in California. While the Suburban loves rubbing elbows with the rich and famous, it recently brought its award home to share with Chevy fans and employees.

The Chevrolet Suburban’s star, technically an Award of Excellence from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, was just installed in the entertainment district of Arlington, Texas. The city is home to the General Motors Arlington Assembly Plant, where Suburban has been built since 1999.

Area residents will have a lot of opportunities to see the star, as it’s between the new football stadium and the ballpark.

Everyone who brings home a Chevrolet Suburban has a little piece of Hollywood history, since the model has been in at least one television series since 1956, and one movie annually since 1960. The Suburban name itself has been in constant use since 1935, making it the longest-running nameplate in the car world.

Besides Hollywood prestige, the Chevrolet Suburban has many features to make it ideal for your family. It can carry up to 144.7 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seats folded flat, so there’s plenty of room for your next move or long road trip. It is a large vehicle, but the nine available camera views help you keep track of its corners as you maneuver. If you have passengers in the backseat that get bored easily, consider adding the optional Rear-Seat Media System with its 12.6-inch diagonal LCD HD touch screens.
